The 3-Days Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi and Lake Bunyonyi Uganda Safari package gives you another adventurous and relaxing moment after that thrilling and exciting Gorilla Trekking Adventure in Bwindi drive through the the Hilly areas of Kisoro/Kabale with the potatoe terrace farming.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is located in southwestern Uganda in East Africa. The park is part of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, and is situated along the Democratic Republic of Congo border next to the Virunga National Park and on the edge of the western Great Rift Valley and a 9-10hrs drive through Kabale town and finally to Ruhijja in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest,

Lake Bunyonyi is believed to be the second deepest lake in Africa with its deepest end approximately 900m. The lake is 24 kilometer long and 7km wide covering an area of 61 square kilometers.

The lake is dotted with 29 islands. The most prominent of theses include:

The Akampene Island also known as the punishment island,it is believed that at this Island the Bakiga people used to leave girls that got pregnant before marriage so that they would die of hunger or drown if they tried to swim back as a way of punishing them. These girls would be rescued by poor men who did not have bride price to get the girls on the mainland for marriage. The others are BusharaKyahugyeBwama and Njuyeera, and Bucuranuka.

Day 1: Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Our driver shall pick you up for the trip at 7.00am. You shall be picked-up from wherever you deem convenient.We shall have a brief stopover at the Uganda Equator for some snaps and then proceed to Mbarara town for our lunch at Agip motel.

After our Lunch, we continue the drive through the vast banana plantations of Ntungamo, Kabale and  finally get to Ruhija in Bwiindi.

Check into our preferred Lodge for Dinner and Overnight.

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi & Lake Bunyonyi Kabale

We shall have early morning breakfast and report to the park headquarters by 7.30 for a briefing on the Uganda gorilla tracking etiquette.After the briefing which is at the entrance of the park and starting point for gorilla tracking you shall penetrate the Impenetrable Forest to look for these gentle giants under the guidance of a knowledgeable guide.

The time taken tracking highly depends on how fast you will locate a gorilla community. It can take from a few minutes to an entire day.You shall return from this thrilling but highly tiresome adventure to a relaxation,drive through the terraced hills of Kabale with great views of Mgahinga,Sabinyo and Muhavura Mountains and finally to Lake Bunyonyi for a confortable and great relaxing time at the

Overland Camp Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 3: Lake Bunyonyi to Kampala

We shall have an early morning breakfast,canoeing on Lake Bunyonyi and drive back to Kampala through Lake Mburo with more wildlife sightings like Zebras and Impalas.
